Understanding the M3-21n model code
M3 means three ports Connect one to three indoor units. M2, M4 and M5 support up to two, four and five units respectively.
21 is the capacity class Indoor capacity classes may total up to 115%: 21 × 1.15 = 24.15. Both two 09 units and two 12 units fit.
Different unit types in one system Each wall-mounted, ducted or cassette unit uses one port. Start with one room and expand within the system’s capacity and port limits.
How to build a multi-split system
For each room Choose the indoor unit type, series and capacity. Wall, ducted and cassette units can be mixed when supported by the outdoor unit.
For the whole system Compatibility depends on the model combination. If automatic matching is unavailable, send your selection to a manager for equipment and installation checks.
Before installation Confirm room heat loads, unit placement and pipe lengths. Equipment and installation are quoted separately.
